Charlotte Area “Get Your Rear in Gear” 5K
A dear friend of mine who is a survivor of colorectal cancer has worked tirelessly to bring a “Get Your Rear in Gear” 5K race to the Charlotte, North Carolina area to help raise awareness for this cancer that knows no preference for age or gender.
I am running it this March 13 and I hope you will join me! From what I can see, this is going to be a very nice event with something wonderful for everyone – but MOST importantly – it will bring people together in support of an excellent cause that needs the attention!

Oakland Cemetery – a set on Flickr
I photographed Historic Oakland Cemetery for the first time this summer. I was in one small space to get this huge variety – but there are over 40 acres to explore in this amazing place.
